Frequently Asked Questions

Do you photograph weddings outside of Grand Rapids?

Yes, please! I’m based in Grand Rapids, and I regularly photograph weddings throughout Michigan, like Detroit, Saugatuck, and Traverse City. I also take on weddings in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs (where my hometown is!).

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples reach out 9–15 months before their wedding date, though availability varies. If it's last-minute or two years out, I'd still love to hear from you and see if it's a fit!

Do you help with wedding timelines?

While I prefer to stay a little more hands-off, I’m happy to offer guidance so photography fits naturally into your day without feeling intrusive. My priority is that your day flows well and that it's set up for success.

What’s your photography style?

I like to describe my style as a little better than real. Think "how it looks when you close your eyes" and imagine those precious moments. Documentary with an editorial polish. I love the refreshingly authentic, timeless amd colorful, always with an artful edge.
